Next Generation Emergency Response Technology

Civil protection innovation is stuck in decade-long cycles. Meanwhile, disaster scenarios are becoming more complex, but the tools to fight them aren’t evolving fast enough. European stability depends on strengthening civil preparedness and societal resilience against hybrid threats and systemic shocks.

The European Civil Resilience Network (EUCIV) acts as an interface between high-tech sectors and European civil protection and disaster relief. Its stated mission is to make proven, research-backed or proven technologies from various sectors usable for civil protection and disaster management. Through targeted innovation formats such as hackathons, meet-ups, and technology conferences, EUCIV accelerates the development of prototypes into market-ready solutions for crisis management and disaster relief. We focus on European cross-border cooperation, empowering innovative drivers to develop the practical tools that allow communities—not just governments—to withstand and recover from instability.
